As the name implies, Adventure Sports are far different from the traditional sports activities. “Adventure Sports generally refers to the physical activities which require a lot of mental awareness and strength along with physical strength. Adventure sports includes some risky and unusual activities and are also very exciting as compared to the traditional sports”.

Traditional sports are the ones which require activities requiring skills, these activities require only the skills and are of a competitive nature. Most of the adventure sports are performed in the areas that comprise some mountain region.

“Adventure Sports are often known as Extreme Sports”.

There are many Adventure Sports available nowadays but only a few of them are assured not to risk the life of an individual. Adventure Sports also help to cope up with stress and depression and helps an individual to keep calm during the day when it feels stress coming on. ‘Adventure sports revert the direction of thinking of mind and help to take your mind off of the things you are worried about and will put you in a mood of joy and fun’.

1. Skydiving:


Skydiving is also called ‘Parachuting’. In this, individuals are to jump from an airplane or helicopter flying at a height of thousands of feet above the sea level towards the Eart and they have to control there speed with the help of a parachute. 2. Mountaineering:


In Mountaineering, one is required to climb a mountain or rocks covered with ice (it may be natural or artificial). The main aim to do so is to achieve the highest peak of the mountain. ‘Alpinism’ is another name given to mountaineering which is a Europian word, which means climbing routes with the help of some specific types of equipment. “The destinations for doing Mountaineering in India are Manali, Sikkim, Jammu&Kashmir, Ladakh, Garhwal, and Uttarakhand”.

3. Surfing:


Surfing is one of the most popular Extreme Sport, it requires a lot of guts to do surfing as it’s not very simple to surf on the huge sea waves. It requires a lot of practice and strength, also the mental awareness of the performer should be very high in order to surf on the big waves. “The prime locations in India to surf are Goa, Kerala, Odisha, Pondicherry, Kovalam & Varkala”.

So, for the safety purpose, the beginners are lead by a professional. It is also called White Water Rafting. Being the all-time favorite, there are many places across the country where one can do river rafting. They are: “Ladakh, Coorg, Manali, Kolad, Jammu&Kashmir, and Rishikesh”.

Bungee jumping refers to the process of jumping from a tall structure while connected to a huge rope which is very elastic and strong in nature. Generally, it is done from the top of a huge building, mountain or with the help of a crane too. The most breathtaking moment is that of rebounding after freefalling. The demand for Bungee Jumping is being increased over years, this is the reason that it is being done in various part of the country like: “Goa, Ozone, Gravity zone, Banglore, Rishikesh and Della adventure”.
