Are Digital Payments secure enough to go cashless?

Digital payments are future of our society. Today, our life is more comfortable and luxurious then our ancestors and also people could find the easiest way to tackle every situation. So, in this context we can say that digital payments are need of our society, now a day no one has time for any extra activity then how it will be possible for them to stand in long queues for bill payments and also to buy luxurious thing in market, they have to take along with them huge amount of money. Digital payment is secure as compare to Cash payment. There are various benefits of Digital payment. Digital payment is Easy Mode of the way of payment. They are time-saving process And No chances of mistake in calculation of cash.

India is a developing nation. First of all, it’s a great move for India because through this most of the transaction will be transparent, which will help to reduce the corruption, black money and scam. Through digital payments, government will receive more tax which government can use in the growth of the nation. There is a very big difference in educated and illiterate people but gradually this gap will be 0%. Indian has a great technology and according to my opinion we ready to do the digital transaction.

The Digital India programme is a flagship programme of the Government of India with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. “Faceless, Paperless, Cashless” is one of professed role of Digital India.

As part of promoting cashless transactions and converting India into less-cash society, various modes of digital payments are available.

Are Digital Payments secure enough to go cashless?

We will discuss each mode of digital payments in upcoming blogs.

The cashless transaction is more secure and ease no doubt in it, but when it to comes to India we have to consider some facts about India i.e.

1 About 40% of the population is illiterate.

2 About 35% of the population still dream of electricity.

3 About 30% of the population live below poverty line, so for them to buy internet connection will be a great difficulty.

So in my view, we should move towards cashless transaction with considering the above facts such that both modes of transactions go hand in hand until India is fully equipped with facilities for the fully digital mode of transactions.

But this can be possible only if the Indian government and the PEOPLE of INDIA will come together. I had also seen that people who have smart phone but they are not even able to recharge balance of their phone themselves. They just go to recharge shop and give their phone to the owner to recharge it. So to get rid from this problem our Government should take some effective decision to educate people so that they could do such work themselves.  Hence Digital payments are not secure enough to go cashless; other factors also come into play.

So I can conclude by saying that Digital Payments are necessary to go cashless but the success depends on various factors such as Government support, Literacy to rural areas, public awareness, and Cyber security. And if we are able to get 100% digital payments mechanism, the dream of Digital INDIA will come into reality and solve many giant problems like corruption, Cyber crime, black money, scam.
